Geico just raised my rate when my policy renewed 3 days ago.
My payment went from 177, to 245 !!

I called, and spoke to a Rep. I explained that i've been a Geico customer my entire adult life, NEVER had an accident, NEVER had so much as a speeding ticket, I have ZERO points on my license, i've NEVER had a claim...i'm one of the safest drivers they have. The Rep told me that PIP(personal injury protection) is now being charged at a higher rate for ALL FL consumers, citing the rising cost of health care in FL...

I find this excuse to be contrary to REALITY, because since the seatbelt law passed, there have been fewer serious injuries from accidents, cars have gotten much safer accross the board, and all the data from their own SEC balance sheet shows their costs to insure FL have actually gone DOWN...and their profits gone UP.

I suspect this has something to do with Rick Scott's deregulation agenda...

Someone prove me wrong please... or pinch me so I can wake up from this nightmare.

Seems Geico is raising rates, in an effort to get people to support "insurance-tort reform", so they can make even more money than they already are and not have to cover the costs of injury.

You pay for PIP, it has caps already... so PIP lawsuits are IRRELEVANT, it's all a big LIE... PIP limits are outlined in your policy!
